A little about me ...

I'm Azaria Moffitt, owner of A.M 2 A.M, LLC. I am a certified breastfeeding counselor, and lactation specialist servicing the 757 area. I have established multiple community partnerships with organizations such as 757breastfeeds, Virginia Breastfeeding Coalition, Shoe Tree @ Three, and many more to come! I am here to assist families and mothers throughout their breastfeeding journeys. During our sessions, we will discuss all things breastfeeding and so much more. Ranging from maternal/paternal emotions, infant feeding, weaning, and increasing milk supply, my goal is to provide you customized care using evidence-based measures to ensure a smooth ride towards BREASTFEEDING 365! With understanding financial strains and struggles of everyday life, I have made my services affordable and accessible for everyone seeking help! Are you ready to team up?

Accessing quality counseling services could be very taxing due to multiple factors. Some of these factors include insurance or financial limitations, lack of transportation, or no relatability/compatibility with available providers. Minorities, especially African Americans, continue to fall short regarding voluntary access to counseling services for their needs.

I know that entering motherhood is hard and it affects not only the mother but everyone else around her. Having to figure out how to go about your own life with a new baby, figuring out the dos and don’ts for your baby, managing doctors’ appointments, establishing childcare, paying bills and paying for overpriced foods, having employment or attending school, or even dealing with multiples are all leading contributors of ways a new or experienced mom can easily loose herself.  Having to juggle all this without losing yourself in the process is hard, especially when you do not have an outlet or someone to confide in that truly gets it.

It is extremely important for all women and families, but mostly those of color, to access the same quality lactation education and breastfeeding counseling just as other populations.  As moms, we sometimes fail to link our daily duties and stress as components that could affect our ability to nourish our baby.
